TOP RESULT: Roma prime.

A total yarding of 986 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on Thursday.

Steers over 550kg sold to 281c/kg and averaged 275c/kg, while steers in the 400-550kg earned to 281c/kg and averaged 256c/kg.

Georgina Partnership#2, Keeroongooloo, Quilpie sold Brahman Cross steers to 281c/kg for 648kg to return $1691/head.

Keddstock, Moongool, Yuleba, sold Charolais-cross steers to 280c for 650kg to return $1821. The Charolais-cross heifers to 272c for 480kg to return $1306.

W & J Harris, Quebec, Roma, sold Cross bred steers to 280c for 637kg to return $1785.

Heifers over 450kg made to 272c/kg and averaged 254c/kg, while heifers in the 350-450kg sold to 276c/kg and averaged 261c/kg.

R, M, & F Miller, North Kooringa, Roma, sold Angus-cross heifers to 257c for 540kg to return $1388.

Cows over 500kg peaked at 229c/kg and averaged 216c/kg, while cows in the 400-500kg class topped at 223c/kg and averaged 192c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold to 185c/kg and averaged 154c/kg.

E Rolfe, Nindinna, Roma, sold Brahman cows to 225c for 628kg to return $1414.

I & G Graham, Bullen-Bullen, Mitchell, sold Droughtmaster-cross cows to 225c for 560kg to return $1263.

Bulls over 600kg earned to 248c/kg and averaged 228c/kg.
