The Baby and Toddler Expo is in its third year in Mount Isa and enables families to source local businesses for all their baby and toddler needs.

Andii Mihay event stylist,Jennifer Termine-Toth,is helping Commerce North West board secretary, Sue Wicks, with the planning details for the expo.

“It is about doing something for the community and for families who have small children in Mount Isa and surrounding areas,” Ms Wicks said.

“The numbers from BabiesDay really showed that thereare a lot of families who have babies and toddlers around Isa. So thisis something that enables those families to see what services and products are actually here in Mount Isa, so they can support local businesses.

“The community has enjoyed the expo and small businesses have had a lot of exposure because of the expo.”

The expo will includeon stage demonstrations throughout the day showcasing various techniques and products, children’s clothes will be for sale, there will also be a toddlers fashion parade, the maternity wing offering advice and support to families, Woman’s Health from Brisbane will be attending, Breast Cancer group andMolly’s Babies Room.

Ms Wicks said this event brought a lot of people together.

“This includes businesses who usually wouldn’t get involved in an expo and showcase what they have on offer. We have services on offer that have not been on display before, including children’s car seat safety checks,” she said.

“There is also a fantasticmultidraw raffle. One of the prizes is a one year timeline baby photo shoot by Kate Glover.Which would be an amazing prize for someone who is expecting or just had a baby.

“There is something for everyone and we hope the community will come and support the expo.”

The Baby and Toddler Expo will be held at the Civic Centrefrom 10am to 3pm on May 29. For more information contact Commerce North West.
