The two companies will join forces for the event to tell the history behind the Manildra Group and MSM Milling, as well as showcase the vast industries both service, in visual, audio visual and practical demonstrations.

The Sub Committee Chairman of the Feature Exhibit, Chris Solomon, says the Feature Exhibit is the centrepiece of the Australian National Field Days.

“We are focused on the role of agriculture and its associated industries in order to highlight the importance of a vibrant primary industries sector to Australia, its economy and its well-being. Together, MSM Milling and the Manildra Group showcase the strength, vitality and diversity of our local primary industries. MSM Milling and the Manildra Group have taken the next step and are leaders in the field of value-adding that is so important to development and prosperity in the Central-West region,” Mr Solomon said.

“The Australian National Field Days is very proud to be in partnership with MSM Milling and the Manildra Group in the presentation of the Feature Exhibit. Planning is well under way and the 2016 Feature Exhibit promises to be both truly spectacular and informative. The presentation will allow visitors to follow the progress of raw materials from paddock to plate through an innovative, imaginative and interactive journey. This journey will demonstrate how industry and agriculture have combined to emphasise the confidence that business has in our region,” he said.

The Manildra Group is a family owned group of companies dedicated to adding value to Australian industries and communities through developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative products including flour, meat and sugar for the Australian and global marketplace.

“We were honoured to receive The Australian National Field Days’ invitation to be the feature exhibitor at the 2016 event, as it cements our relationship with farmers and highlights the important role we play, not only in local agriculture, but in the Australian agriculture sector,” said John Brunner, Mill Manager of the Manildra Flour Mill.

The Manildra Group has a stake in MSM Milling, which is based in Manildra and produces quality, non-GM canola oil, meal and stockfeed products for domestic and international markets. MSM Milling Directors Bob and Pete Mac Smith say the feature exhibit will give visitors some idea about the scope of operations his company and the Manildra Group undertakes, as well as highlighting the nutritional benefits of eating locally grown products, including non-GM canola oil, flour and meat,

“Our region comes alive in Spring, as canola fields burst into magnificent golden yellows and wheat fields capture the sun. This area is synonymous with our clean, fresh produce. We will use the field days to explain how broad our operations are, how our canola oil and flour is truly paddock to plate and how we help regional communities prosper by working hand-in-hand with producers and growers,” said Bob Mac Smith.

“Everyone knows Manildra has a flour mill and a canola mill, but we’d like them to know what we do every day, how we transform canola seeds into oil, wheat into flour, and how we contribute to thriving communities across regional NSW through employment and direct-purchasing,” Pete Mac Smith said.

The Chairman of the Australian National Field Days Dan Toohey encourages all visitors and exhibitors to support MSM Milling and the Manildra Group as the 2016 Feature Exhibit.

“The enthusiasm shown by MSM Milling and the Manildra Group to participate and showcase their activities and products is greatly appreciated by the ANFD. We see this as a rare opportunity for people to explore the vast range of products MSM Milling and the Manildra Group produce for the global market and to gain a thorough understanding of their roles in regional agriculture and communities,” Mr Toohey said.

The Australian National Field Days will be held at the Borenore site from Thursday October 20 to Saturday October 22th 2016.
